What You’ll Be Doing

• Assist patrons and fellow employees
• Perform Security screening processes; screening techniques of Magnetometer scans, Handwand scans, pat downs, and bag checks.
• Perform roaming patrols, static security position, crowd control, other duties assigned by leadership staff.
• Be aware of, anticipate, and resolve problems/situations with patrons
• Look for hazards and report them immediately to Security Supervisor
• Monitor patron purchases and consumption of alcohol; address under aged service or over-served patrons
• Ensure sure no alcohol leaves the facility or designated areas
• Watch section(s) and enforce all Wings Event Center policies; be aware of unwanted behaviours, language, and activities.
• After the event, be at your assigned post/exit, being visible to patrons and watching that any alcoholic beverages do not leave the building

What You Need for this Position

• Excellent customer service skills
• Available to work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays (Occasional morning shifts per event type)
• Able to work alone, or in a team environment
• EMT certified is preferred, but not required
• CPR / AED certified, or obtain certification
• Able to stand for long periods of time, up to 8 hours or more
• Able to stoop and bend
• Occasionally able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Able to safely work with potentially dangerous chemicals and equipment
• Able to comply with safety and health code standards
