What You’ll Be Doing

• Preparing and serving hot or cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, or teas.
• Describing menu items to customers or suggesting products that might appeal to them.
• Prioritizing and time managing when there are many guests in store.
• Following all procedures for the cash register and ringing every transaction up as it occurs.
• Cleaning and sanitizing work areas and equipment.
• Taking the initiative to “Make it Right” whenever necessary and reading guests needs.
• Effectively multitasking (ring drinks, listen to guests, fill items, answer phones, etc.).
• Creating merchandise displays that are up-to-date and attractive to guests.
• Recognizing our loyal guests, or “regulars”, by their names and preferred drinks.
• Receiving and ticketing all incoming merchandise.
• Effectively communicating with fellow associates.
• Completing daily opening/closing/check-out checklists.

What You Need for this Position

• Work well under pressure with a positive “team” attitude.
• Ability to self-start and create projects during slow times.
• Able to stand for long periods of time, up to 8 hours or more.
• Able to stoop and bend.
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds from time to time.
• Able to safely work with potentially dangerous chemicals and equipment.
• Able to comply with safety and health code standards.
• Able to handle responsibilities that require repetitive motion tasks.
