What You’ll Be Doing
- Protecting guests from crime or any dangerous situation
- Responding to all emergency situations
- Removing vagrants from the property and those who cause disturbances
- Ensuring all employees know what to do in the event of an emergency
- Maintaining guestroom security
- Patrolling guest areas and maintaining presence
- Ensuring proper lighting is maintained
- Encouraging guests to take advantage of security features available in their rooms
- Controlling access to property
- Monitoring surveillance cameras
- Securing interior and exterior doors
- Investigating suspicious persons
- Protecting assets
- Managing emergencies
- Investigating incidents
- Maintaining accurate records
- Building relationships with unit managers during walk-through
- Documenting reports for any situation, issue, accidents or injury involving guests, or associates
- Reporting suspicious activity to management
- Assisting associates with needs and requests at security window
Qualifications
What You Need for this Position
- 2+ years of experience in the Security, or Safety and Loss Prevention industry (required).
- Ability to safely work and comply with safety and health code standards
- Able to stand for long periods of time, up to 8 hours or more
- Able to stoop and bend
- Occasionally able to lift up to 40 pounds
- Able to safely work with potentially dangerous chemicals and equipment
- Able to comply with safety and health code standards
