What You’ll Be Doing
- Strong communication skills
- Create merchandise displays that are current and attractive to guests
- Receive and ticket all incoming merchandise
- Ensure new merchandise is wrinkle-free and ready for display
- Effectively multitask (assist walk-in guests, answer phones, receive merchandise etc.)
- Handle cash, credit card, personal check and gift card transactions in an honest and accurate manner
- Greet all guests by making them feel welcome and comfortable
- Anticipate guest’s wants, needs, and desires
- Work well under pressure with a positive “team” attitude
- Prioritize and time manage when there are many guests in store
- Take the initiative to “Make it Right” whenever necessary and read guests needs
- Recognize our loyal guests, or “regulars”, by their names
- Effectively communicate with fellow associates
- Answer questions regarding all aspects of the hotel, restaurant outlets, amenities and services, including current/ upcoming events
- Complete daily opening/closing/check-out checklists
Qualifications
What You Need for this Position
- Good communication and phone skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Professional demeanor
- Excellent customer service skills
- Office administration skills are a plus
- Able to stand for long periods of time, up to 8 hours or more
- Able to stoop and bend
- Occasionally lift up to 40 pounds
- Able to safely work with potentially dangerous chemicals and equipment
- Able to comply with safety and health code standards
