Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Protecting guests from crime or any dangerous situation
  • Responding to all emergency situations
  • Removing vagrants from the property and those who cause disturbances
  • Ensuring all employees know what to do in the event of an emergency
  • Maintaining guestroom security
  • Patrolling guest areas and maintaining presence
  • Ensuring proper lighting is maintained
  • Encouraging guests to take advantage of security features available in their rooms
  • Controlling access to property
  • Monitoring surveillance cameras
  • Securing interior and exterior doors
  • Investigating suspicious persons
  • Protecting assets
  • Managing emergencies
  • Investigating incidents
  • Maintaining accurate records 
  • Building relationships with unit managers during walk-through
  • Documenting reports for any situation, issue, accidents or injury involving guests, or associates
  • Reporting suspicious activity to management
  • Assisting associates with needs and requests at security window

Qualifications

What You Need for this Position

  • Ability to safely work and comply with safety and health code standards
  • Able to stand for long periods of time, up to 8 hours or more
  • Able to stoop and bend
  • Occasionally able to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Able to safely work with potentially dangerous chemicals and equipment
  • Able to comply with safety and health code standards
